Here are healthy diet tips you can take and these are very general in nature but are essential just the same:
- Drink plenty of water. This has been taught to us since grade school but most of the time we take this for granted because we prefer something sweet and palatable such as pop or soda. When thirsty, we go for Diet Pepsi or Coke. We do not know that supermodels do not drink sodas including diet sodas because carbonation and artificial sweeteners in diet sodas can actually lead to bloating and sugar cravings. We have been captivated by ads on TV about this and that soda. Well, they are not after of our health, frankly speaking. A good read health article has it that in our day to day activities, we may at some point get dehydrated which leads to fatigue. This fatigue causes us to be thirsty but more often than not, our body could hardly distinguish thirst from hunger and so, hunger pains are experienced so much so that we eat and eat and eat and later realized we’ve screwed up on our diet plan. We get upset and blame ourselves then. So, drinking at least eight glasses of water a day is a piece of advice worth following because water actually aids in making our stomach full, thus we cannot overeat.
- Eat everything in moderation. Dieting does not have to be so hard and it does not necessarily mean that we cannot eat our favorite Twinkie or M&M’s. We just need self-control and discipline, that is, just a small portion or size of what you’ve been craving for should be enough. Let us not deprive ourselves of the things we love to eat because we are still young! But remember to eat in moderation.
- Do not go on a very “strict” dieting.
Health research has it that even a short period of very strict
"dieting" during your early teens leads to low bone density, which causes weak bones later in life. Up to 90 percent of adult bone mass is laid down during 12-17 years of age, so this is not the perfect time to limit your intake of calcium, vitamin D or vitamin C, which are essential for proper bone growth. - Savor every meal by eating slowly. Perhaps there are times that you have to rush your food down because you're late for school or an appointment, but if you eat slowly you will enjoy the food more and feel more satisfied. Doing otherwise would lead you to eat more because your pituitary gland could not tell you fast enough that you have had enough.
- Do normal walking with friends, family members or your puppy. Research studies claims
that walking is one of the best exercises for strengthening bones,
controlling weight, toning the leg muscles, maintaining good posture
and enhancing positive self concept. These sure are our ideal picture
of ourselves! Hence, dieting and exercising should go together. Exercise
is always associated with good healthy diet. It is by far one of the
most important factors for one to have an effective and healthy diet. We
should not imitate people who diet without exercising because they
often get fatter with time. So, walk and enjoy the company of friends,
loved ones and pets.Want to have a body you have always wanted?
